HP2GLC Glass Clear
Part of the Hasami Porcelain collection, this tumbler was developed alongside artist Taku Shinomoto to sit comfortably next to the line's ceramics on any table. Where the porcelain pieces are turned from clay and stone quarried in Nagasaki's Hasami village, the glassware translates the same clean, stackable silhouette into a warm, lightly tinted glass — here in Clear.
The straight sides and slightly tapered base make the tumbler easy to stack and just as easy to hold, whether it's serving water at the table or something stronger at the end of the day.
The collection from Hasami is free from decoration with a concentration on traditional form and a clean straight line which is at the essence of Japanese design. This creates a beautiful harmony between all the pieces in the collection.
With a consideration for usability, this collection is completely free stacking. Therefore users can mix and match pieces from the collection: a plate can sit in a bowl for storage and then be used as a plate itself when the time is right. It also serves well for storage efficiency in areas with limited space.

Hasami Porcelain embraces a centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship to create functional and uniquely beautiful porcelain tableware. Their commitment to quality, authenticity, and the handmade process sets them apart from mass-produced, factory-made ceramics.
Each piece in their collection is a labor of love, handcrafted by skilled artisans who follow a time-honored process. From the meticulous mixing of raw materials to the careful molding, glazing, and kiln firing, our craftsmen and craftswomen contribute their expertise to ensure the creation of a one-of-a-kind piece.
What makes Hasami Porcelain truly special is the natural variation and imperfections that arise during this artisanal process. They don't see these as flaws; they are the marks of authenticity that make each item in the collection unique. No two pieces are exactly the same, allowing you to bring a touch of individuality to your table.
In the Hasami village, specialization is a key factor in the production process. Craftsmen in different areas of the village excel in specific tasks, and this organized approach has been passed down through generations since the Edo period. They believe in preserving these traditions and supporting the livelihoods of the local artisans.
